Trail signs

Trail signs with trail names and a ski area map are posted at every trail junction. This sign also indicates that you can ski with your dog on this trail.

Getting There

Located about 16 km north of Williams Lake on Highway 97. Watch for Bull Mountain Ski Area signs on Highway 97 just before turnoff, which is approximately 4.5 km north of Wildwood gas station and 4.5 km south of Deep Creek gas station.

Turn west off Highway 97 onto “Bull Mountain Road”. Main parking lot is 1.1 km from the highway. “Bull Mountain Road” is well maintained by the road services contractor but be prepared for winter driving conditions with packed snow on moderate grades.


Trails

  • 28 km total with many cross trails and loops.

  • frequently groomed and conditioned with Pisten-Bully (set with inside skating lane and two outside classic tracks)

  • 3.5 km of lighted trails (2 loops) until 10:00 p.m. (users switch ON just inside door of warming hut, auto SHUT-OFF)

  • stadium is at outset of trail system approximately 100 m from parking lot; lighted on one side.

  • 125 m elevation difference between warming hut and highest point on trails; both short and long downhill sections present

  • Trail signs and maps at each trail intersection with trail names, length, and challenge level

  • Large trail map (aerial photo base) and thermometer near warming hut.

  • Printed maps available in warming hut or can be downloaded here.

  • “Adventure Trail” with life size cartoon characters to encourage skiers along a 0.5 km loop trail between the stadium and the warming hut. Development ongoing.


Facilities

  • Warming hut has two main rooms, about 3 x 7 m each, heated by wood stove.
  • Electrical outlets, waxing form, and tables available in warming hut
  • Two pit toilets near warming hut
  • Timing hut adjacent to stadium
  • Note: cell phone service is not available at Bull Mountain ski area

Dog Trails

  • Skiing with your dog can be fun and safe if done appropriately.

  • Designated “dog trails” are clearly signed at parking lot and at trail junctions.

  • Designated “dog trails” may be skied with up to two dogs per skier.

  • Dogs are not allowed on other trails or around warming hut or in stadium.

  • Designated “dog trails” and further information regarding skiing with your dog are available at the parking lot and in the dog use policy. Please read these carefully before you ski with your dog.
